In Kadapa, Nellore, Prakasam, Ananthapur and Vijayanagaram districts,  to relief from drought  Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu appealed to the central team to allocate 680 crores. In addition to the efforts of the state government to provide drought prevention measures in the state, He said that the government has to take up any alternative measures to deal with the drought, but once the nature of the cooperative nature is lost. The central team arrived in the state to look into the drought conditions and met with the chief minister on Thursday after a two-day tour of the two districts.
Central team members told  Chief Minister that the situation in the district of Prakasam  was a bit worrying as they visited a total of 121 zones in 5 districts. Particularly in Prakasam district, the underground waters have gone down and we have seen drinking water and fodder problems. At the same time, the government's efforts to address the drought are very much appreciated. Ration and pensions are very impressive with the way the employment guarantee schemes are going on in the drought zones, the Chief Minister said.

The Chief Minister told the Central Bureau that Andhra Pradesh has fiery conditions for both famine and typhoons, and that the cyclonic typhoons  where Rayalaseema are fatal. He said at times that he can not afford the natural disasters. Rayalaseema has taken a wide range of measures to save the area from drought and a large number of crops have been dug off. Due to the drought conditions, water reserves have not been reached.
If the Godavari water is not moved to Krishna Delta through Pattiseema, the Chief Minister said that Krishna and Guntur districts are also bad. As soon as the tunnel works, Prakasam can save the district permanently from the famine. We are thinking of preventive measures when it comes to famine but it needs central assistance to the States to overcome this problem on a permanent basis. The Chief Minister has urged the members of the team to look at the actual situation in Andhra Pradesh to the center and see the AP as generous as possible.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Special Secretary Satish Chandra, Chief Secretary Sai Prasad and State Disaster Management Department Mrs. Seeshagiri Babu.
