The central government has released royalty arrears to pay off oil and gas reserves in Andhra Pradesh. Rs. The Central Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry issued orders to release 237.53 crores. Praveen Prakash, Resident Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Bhavan, said in a statement. Royalty arrears to be released in the state every month in September and October is likely to be released in May this year. Many state and private sector companies, including ONGC, are exchanging oil and gas reserves. The state government will have to pay a royalty on the seizure of public sector firms. In September last year, 286 crores have been released by the Central Petroleum Department. Earlier this year, the government issued orders for issuing royalty areas.
