Several awardees have revealed that the National Film Awards are being boycotted. The 65th National Film Awards ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi this evening. 140 Awards for Best Achievement in Different Departments. Only 11 of them are awarded by President Ramnath Kovind, the organizers said. Others will be awarded by the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting. The 68 protestors boycotted the ceremony, protesting strongly. It is a shame that the last one in the last minute said that the state will give only 11 awards.

A prestigious firm that accurately practices the protocol is a pretext that we do not pretend to be such a crucial factor. The 65-year-old tradition is really unfortunate. Already speaking to Smriti Irani, I have not received any reaction so far. We do not have any other way to go to Armenia. We do not intend to boycott the awards ceremony but we are referring to our protest. Prominent Singer KJ Yesudas, Bengali Filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly, and actor Fahad Fasil released a letter of signatures.
