The United Nations Office of Bank of the Union (UBBU) on Friday announced that the talks between the management and the unions have failed to strike, a spokeswoman for the unions said. The UFBU proposed to increase the wage by only two percent. AIBEA General Secretary CH Venkatachalam said that strike notice was issued to Chief Labor Commissioners of Associations of Bank Ownership. Last year staff wages increased by 15 percent. There are nine banking sector jobs under the UFB. The leaders of the unions described the strike as the central government did not respond to the decision to take a decision on hikes.
