BOPAIAH AS PROTEM SPEAKER

Bangalore,May 19,(globelmedianews.com):
The BJP MLA KG Bopaiah appointed the Governor as Protest Speaker on Saturday to hold a strong test on the assembly. He has been working as Karnataka speaker for four years from 2009. The Congress party is protesting against the decision taken by the Governor on the basis of a confidence test. It was reported that Ramesh Deshpande, a senior leader of the party, would be given a chance to be a Protem Speaker. But the governor was the exceptional leader of the ruling party. The speaker will remain in that position until the speaker's appointment is completed. He is sworn to the MLAs. The election is usually appointed by a senior member of the House as Protem Speaker. But in the face of a strong examination, the Governor appointed Boppiah, a veteran speaker, from Virajpat, not Deshpande.

BOPAIAH AS PROTEM SPEAKER

The role of Protem Speaker in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly is crucial. The assembly secretariat has recommended Arvind Deshpande, the 8th member of the Karnataka Assembly, as the speaker. Senior politicians have said that Deshpande is the MLA of the Congress and now the Protest Speaker's role is crucial. In the present situation, we need 8 MLAs to reach the BJP Magic Figure. With the BJP winning 104 seats, the speaker is unanimously elected. If the Speaker is elected, the Congress - JDS will stand for the Speaker as their candidate. If the Congress-JDS candidate won, the BJP is likely to be defeated before a stronger test. Yeddyurappa should be taken away. To overcome this difficult situation, the BJP must maintain a strong protest with the speaker. As the other speakers, the Protem Speaker has all the powers that constitutionally. However, if the MLAs have been defective during a strong examination, it is possible that the Congress and the JDS can immediately complain to the speaker. The Protest Speaker would soon be able to sack defective MLAs. If that happens, the BJP can not be impotent.
