The Flipkart Board has approved a proposal to sell a 75 percent stake in Walmart. The deal was reported to be worth over 15 billion dollars (approximately Rs 1 lakh crore). As part of this deal, the 20% stake in Flipkart will be sold as Japan's Soft Bank Group Investment Fund. In the next ten days, the deal is likely to be completed, sources said.

Google's parent alphabet is investing with Walmart. Amazon has seen a 60 percent stake in Flipkart, Amazon also tried to buy a stake since the start. Flipkart board members opted for Walmart. Walmart, the world's largest retailer, had a strong competition from Amazon. Amazon has challenged Walmart as the purchases increased through the Internet. If you own a flipkart now .. Walmart will be competing against Amazon. The market is in the market after India and China. Amaze is already heavily invested in India. Amazon is second to Flipkart and is ready to invest another 550 million dollars in India.
