GHMC BLACK BAG CAMPAIGN ON PLASTIC

The GHMC is another innovative program to launch the Black Bag campaign in the city to significantly reduce plastic consumption. This program provides awareness among the city community to reduce, recycle and recycle plastic consumption. More than 1700 metric tons of municipal waste is being produced daily in Hyderabad city. It is estimated that more than 25% of plastic waste is present, and plastic covers on both sides of the roads along the housing spaces are common. 

GHMC BLACK BAG CAMPAIGN ON PLASTIC

The black bag has been launched to promote awareness about the extent of the use of plastic waste in their area by displaying colonies and bales in the specially colored covers which are exclusively cut off in plastic covers, according to GHMC Commissioner DB Janardan Reddy. In this block bag campaign, the GHMC's sanitary workers, jawans and representatives of voluntary organizations, colony welfare associations and public officials will participate. This black bag campaign has already been organized by the Bhagyalathana Colony in Hayath nagar Circle, Rajendranagar Circle, Myladdevpally Waldu, Saranagaragar Circle, Indira Nagar, local representatives, volunteer organizations and colonial welfare committees. A total of 492 kg of plastic was collected in 82 bags in the Bhagyalaya colony, with a sanitary worker with a plastic waste of mineral water powder. From Rs 150 to Rs. Upto 350 extra income.
