Kumaraswamy first met with the farmers for the first time after taking charge as Karnataka Chief Minister. The deputy CM Parameshwara also participated in this meeting. The two who discussed the issue of farmers from 30 districts have come to know about suggestions and suggestions on Runa mafi proposal. Meanwhile, farmers have urged farmers to take 15 days for government action on Runa mafi.

The loan was allocated to all farmers irrespective of the size of the land, but promised to repay all loans in two phases. Farmers who have agreed to the CM's proposal demanded to wipe out all loans including national commercial banks and corporation banks. These loans amount to a total of Rs 53,000 crore. Kumaraswamy said that he has already acquired the information about the loan and said that it will take a decision after the talks with the Allies Congress. The bankers explained to the farmers that they would announce the loan scheme after consultation with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. In the meantime, the farmers have been asked to not tolerate any kind of harassment.
