The state government has won a historic victory in the Supreme Court on land dealings related to the Telangana housing board. Telangana housing board has won after a decade-long legal battle between the places worth Rs 700 crore in Greater Hyderabad. The Supreme Court has stated that Telangana Housing Board has 20 acres of land in Surat No. 1009 in Kukatpally. Housing Minister Yerwada Indrakash Reddy, Special Secretary General of Home Affairs, Chiram Ramchandran Harsha expressed his views on the Supreme Court verdict. They congratulated the judiciary that they effectively acted on behalf of the state government. Legal experts believe that such judgment revenue, GHMC, and HMDA will be used as the basis of the regulation of records. The case has been controversial over the last two decades between the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board and Ajamunessa Begum in connection with the 20 acres of land in Surat No. 1009 in Kukat Palli. Earlier, a High Court bench headed by the Aajmunissa Begum High Court Division Benjamin Judge ruled in favor of the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board.

The Andhra Pradesh Housing Board issued a special leave petition before the Supreme Court division bench in 2010 challenging the judgment of the High Court Division Bench. On May 1, the Supreme Court ruled that the 20-acre land was to be housing board, the Supreme Court ruled that the High Court had ruled that it had heard the arguments.
